Shandong Dacheng Pesticide Co Ltd, holding subsidiary of ChemChina China National Agrochemical Corporation, is a key enterprise in the domestic pesticides and chemicals sectors.

Founded in 1949, the company was awarded national, ministerial and provincial level prizes. It has won honors such as National May 1 Labor Certificate, National Advanced Accounting Collective, National Advanced Unit of Internal Audit.

After shareholding reforms in 1988, it had its Dacheng shares (the original Shandong Pesticide) listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in December 1995 and became the first agriculture-aid shares.

Its business covers chemical pesticides and chlor-alkali products. Pesticides have dozens of varieties under 5 series: insecticides, acaricides, fungicides, herbicides and plant growth regulators.

Its annual production capacity is 30,000 tons for pesticides and 150,000 tons for caustic soda. Annual generating capacity of its thermoelectric unit is 400 million KWH and steam production is over 1.2 million tons.

It passed quality management system certification in 2000, was listed as a provincial technical center and enterprise postdoctoral workstation in 2002 and selected as one of the top 500 national chemical enterprises in 2003.

It won most favorite agricultural materials brand in 2004 and best-selling brand awarded by China Quality Around the World for Agricultural Materials and qualified unit in domestic products quality checking in 2005.

The Dacheng pyrethroid pesticide won China Top Brand in 2006. It received environmental management system certification in 2008 and occupational health and safety management system certification in 2009.

Dacheng was awarded Shandong Famous Brand.
